Being active has always been important to me. I ran track all through high school and continued to run afterwards. I loved running and started training for 5ks, 10ks and eventually half marathons. While I still enjoy running, I fell in love with CrossFit. I took my first CrossFit class at Grand Trunk while I was pregnant. Being pregnant, I quickly learned that CrossFit is completely scalable to each individual. This showed me that anyone is capable of doing these workouts and I also credit it for getting me back into shape after I had my son.
A year and a half later, I am a stay at home mom and CrossFit coach. Watching people hit a PR or conquer a new lift or movement is easily the thing I love most about coaching. Since becoming a member at Grand Trunk I’ve not only been able to workout with my husband and sister (and bring my son!) I’ve also met so many great people who have become great friends! It’s a great community of people that I am proud to be a part of!
